You may be wondering what the term “AssetBridge” that you have seen in auction descriptions means. Well, the secret is out!

Basically, AssetBridge is a network of auctioneers that are all working together to reach more buyers and attain more sellers across the country by combining their selling platforms.

Chris Rasmus, CEO of Rasmus Auctioneers and founder of the AssetBridge network created this group to provide a solution and opportunity for forward thinking auctioneers who are looking to make the transition from a traditional live auction model to internet-only sales.

According to Chris Rasmus:

“AssetBridge is a network affiliation of auctioneers who utilize the same best practices, auction calendar and customer buyer base for online auctions throughout the United States. AssetBridge affiliates benefit from accumulated sales experience, seller and buyer contacts brought to the group by its members.”

Our three premier partners in the AssetBridge Network are JLR Auctions, Jennings Asset Liquidations based in Pennsylvania, and Cal Auctions Based in California.

JLR Auctions is a subsidiary of Culpeper Auction Associates, which has been conducting estate liquidations, marketing and selling antiques and privately owned collections, and providing asset recovery and auction services to the legal, banking, and business communities for over twenty years.

Ron Leftwich, President at JLR Auctions said:

“We are pleased to be in a partnership with Rasmus Auctioneers/AssetBridge in further development and expansion of our auction services. Being partnered with a strong and established company such as Rasmus Auctioneers is truly an honor and privilege as we both pursue to serve more clients with their selling and buying needs in a fast and professional manner.”

Jennings Auction Group, located in Central Pennsylvania, was established in 2001 as an auction company specializing in real estate, commercial and business liquidation auctions.  Over the years Jennings has conducted primarily live auctions, but earlier this year, Jennings made the decision to focus on conducting more Internet only auctions.

A new division of the company called Jennings Asset Liquidations was formed, and quickly decided that joining the AssetBridge network would be a good fit for their business.

B.J. Jennings, owner at Jennings Auction Group said:

“We realized that by becoming part of a network that is one of the top Internet only auction sites in terms of traffic, registered bidders, e-newsletter subscriptions, traffic and sales would help us to grow our new division more quickly.”

Jason Hanks, owner at Cal Auctions started his company in 2011 after working for a local 20+ year old Auction Company in San Diego, CA. After converting that company to a primarily online only auction format he decided to venture off on his own and created Cal Auctions.

In March Jason attended a seminar presented by Chris Rasmus at CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) to learn more about the online auction industry. He said, “Chris did a presentation on the last day of class and I was so moved I had to go and talk with him after class.  Everything he was saying was exactly how I wanted to structure Cal Auctions.”

Not too long after, Jason Hanks and Cal Auctions became the first west coast partner in the AssetBridge network.

“The thing that drove me to join the ABN was Chris’s efficient processes, access to more bidders, Rasmus’ forward technology thinking and of course access to a veteran auctioneer.”

Both Jennings Asset Liquidations and Cal Auctions are excited to move forward and build success with the AssetBridge Network and we at Rasmus  Auctioneers are very excited to have them as partners as we continue to grow the AssetBridge Network.
