Built by Islander Yachts and designed by Ted Gurney, the Islander 36 offers good sailing performance with a hand laid keel, skeg hung rudder and high aspect sail plan. The interior is spacious and beautifully finished in teak. One of the most successful designs ever, there were 770 Islander 36 footers produced. Islander are good for shorthanded cruising with good sails and a smooth bottom it can be a competitive PHFR racer or a fast, comfortable cruising boat. V berth forward, head on port with hanging locker length of cabin. Salon has a settee, galley is in the salon. Perkins engine, 2 burner propane stove with oven, Updated Ray Marine depth finder, tach, and electronics- untested. Vessel appears sound from topside. Newer EPIRB mounted just inside cabin. no leaks were observed at viewing. Keys not present to test engine. Bilges were low when checked, 1 inch water only. most sails are bag stowed, main sail in place, wrapped, light mildew noted. Outboard aft grill mounted, Small inflatable tender, partially deflated, small outboard motor detached- untested. Comes with 2 extra batteries, untested and a travel-folding bicycle.
