The Mason Inn is a luxury hotel and conference center that was built on campus at George Mason University just a few years ago to the tune of $50 million. Now, after losing money on the project and having an increasingly high demand for student housing, the University is ready to re-purpose the building and a combined residential, educational, and dining space is taking over.

In preparation for the revamp, the Mason Inn is selling their high end hotel furnishings and decor at online auction. Rasmus Auctions currently has over 1,500 items up for sale including LCD TVs, king beds, sleeper sofas, nightstands, decorative accents from the lobby and more. This method of clearing out the hotel upholds the green initiative of the Mason Inn, and keeps everything out of a landfill.

The online auction inventory is posted and available for bidding here. There is a preview for potential buyers on-site at 4352 Mason Pond Drive, Fairfax VA 22030 Wednesday, June 18th from 12 – 4 p.m. The online auction begins to close Thursday, June 19th at 1:07 p.m.
